FreeBSD 5.1-CURRENT FreeBSD 5.1-CURRENT #1: Wed Oct 8 20:42:11 EDT 2003 (and
previous)

I have a LiteOn CDRW drive. When I try to boot with it plugged in, the boot
says:

ata1: resetting devices
acd1: FAILURE - SETFEATURES device lockup/removed

and this point I have to hard reset the computer to get anything to happen.

from dmesg:

atapci0: <VIA 82C686B UDMA100 controller> port 0x9000-0x900f at device 7.1 on
pci0
atapci0: Correcting VIA config for southbridge data corruption bug
ata0: at 0x1f0 irq 14 on atapci0
ata1: at 0x170 irq 15 on atapci0
...
ata1: [MPSAFE]

I've tried booting without ACPI, in "safe mode," and it seems to make no
difference.

Scott
