	Um, not sure where you live, but most POS around here run in
DOS/Novell. I've seen a few custom ones written for SCO/Unix. I think that
I've only seen one machine ever running OS/2 in any store I've ever done
work for. 
	If you're looking for a POS system, I'm afraid you're going to
have to either write one yourself or spend lots of money.  (I.e. the
system I'm currently supporting runs close to $10,000.) I would suggest
you get on the web and search for industry specific POS and make your
choice from there.
