If I said I wanted a good quality soundcard to use in digital recording
applications, essentially to turn my freebsd box into a digital sampler,
what would be a good card to look at? The lower end cards can be awfully
noisy, and I don't know quite how well the advanced features of the higher
end cards are supported.

Has anyone used FreeBSD in a music/sampling environment? What kind of
card do you use? What kind of experiences have you had? I'm curious to
swap stories before I go out and buy the wrong card.
