The reason you don't want a box, and would rather use the brackets has
nothing to do with cost.  Using the brackets gives you much mjore volume
to store the cable in the wall, rather than trying to shove it all
inside an electrical box.

This isn't a huge deal with CAT5 cable, but if you've got some RG6 coax,
it's a bit, big win.
