Thanks for replying, but once again I've miscommunicated the issue.  I 
meant that MAKEDEV.8 is in /usr/src/share/man/man8/, and the
modification time is Oct 13th, recent, which suggests to me that it's 
still in the 7.0-BETA1 cvs tree.
