well... I have gotten my STB TV Tuner card (I can sell these card to
people at $130+shipping if anybody is interested)...

now I seem to have a problem with XFree86 giving return errors on the
DGA calls... the two that I get (first with fxtv, second with dtv) are:
hydrogen,ttyp3,~/bktr/fxtv-0.41,502$./fxtv
./fxtv
X Error of failed request: 153
Major opcode of failed request: 142 (XFree86-DGA)
Minor opcode of failed request: 0 (XF86DGAQueryVersion)
Serial number of failed request: 12
Current serial number in output stream: 12

hydrogen,ttyp3,~/bktr/dtv,504$./tv
X Error of failed request: 153
Major opcode of failed request: 142 (XFree86-DGA)
Minor opcode of failed request: 1 (XF86DGAGetVideoLL)
Serial number of failed request: 17
Current serial number in output stream: 17

right now I'm running a CLGD5440, but XFree86 sees it as a clgd5430...
is the problem with me not having a compatible video card? and if so,
which should I choose? a CLGD5446 or a Diamond Stealth 64? (both will
have 2megs ram)

toe card probes fine... (any body object to me modifing the bt848 driver
so it isn't Linux like?) as you can see below...
bktr0 <BrookTree 848> rev 17 int a irq 14 on pci0:9
        mapreg[10] type=0 addr=fd000000 size=1000.
        reg16: virtual=0xf5cf5000 physical=0xfd000000 size=0x1000
brooktree0: PCI bus latency is 32.
bktr0: buffer size 3555328, addr 0x2cc000
STB TV/PCI, Temic NTSC tuner, dbx stereo.
vga0 <VGA-compatible display device> rev 71 on pci0:10
        mapreg[10] type=0 addr=fc000000 size=1000000.
pci0: uses 16781312 bytes of memory from fc000000 upto fd000fff.
pci0: uses 4 bytes of I/O space from 6000 upto 6003.

right now I'm going to try xtvr as soon as I complete the build for FWF...
