Part of my test is to do a "Make world" and make LINT on sources freshly
checked out
to ensure I didn;t break normal operations.

this is taking longer than expected today so I have still not confirmed 
I haven't broken anything here..
(But I'm still checking.. If I have, I'll fix it as soon as I discover
it..)
