Yes, I've build and install it through ports system. See log attached.
There are some compile warnings, but they do not suspicious for me.
I am starting samba with usual start up script:

I am assuming that you are building Samba via the ports system. Are
there any warnings when you compile Samba? Are you starting Samba via
the start up script?
