Title: SECURITY SOFTWARE ARCHITECT
Location: Cupertino, California

Apple's CoreOS organization is looking for exceptional engineers to  
help create new security technologies in Mac OS X.  As architects and  
implementors of new security mechanisms in Mac OS X, you will have the  
opportunity to have a major impact on the design and implementation of  
Apple's consumer and server operating system products.  Our environment  
fosters product innovation, rapid product iteration, and a liberating  
amount of autonomy.

Responsibilities
* Help design and implement future technologies designed to further  
enhance the security of Mac OS X
* Come up with new and innovative ways of increasing security while  
preserving ease-of-use and increasing the quality of the end-user  
experience.
* Work cooperatively with other parts of CoreOS on cross-functional  
technologies and initiatives to enhance security and security policies
* Evangelize and drive the adoption of these technologies and policies  
across the organization

Required Experience:
* A genuine passion for creating effective and pragmatic security  
technologies in the operating systems arena
* Previous experience in operating systems and security tools
* BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience/skills
* Demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities and  
troubleshooting skills
* Industry exposure to and knowledge of OS security and UNIX internals
* A strong software development background
* Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight  
schedules

Preferred Experience:
* Mac OS X exposure (end user, administrator, developer)
* Previous experience with administering heterogeneous networks of  
UNIX, Linux and Windows machines
* Involvement in open source technologies and development communities  
such as Darwin, FreeBSD and Linux
