But when (as in this case) you're talking specifically about a FreeBSD install or kernel compile or a make world, there aren't (m)any errors left that could cause a signal 11. Don't believe me? See the signal 11 FAQ: http://www.bitwizard.nl/sig11/ The best test is if it fails in different places upon repeating the same compile, it is almost certain to be hardware. If it fails at the same place with the same error each repeated time, you most likely have found a software bug.
