FreeBSD 8.1-RC1, GNOME 2.30.0

System | Preferences | Keyboard Shortcuts | Desktop | Run a terminal

It doesn't matter what shortcut I put in here, it never runs. I even tried shortcuts that worked in other commands... they just don't work for the "Run a terminal" command.

Q1: How do I fix this?
Q2: How can I troubleshoot where in the process the problem is. I've eliminated a faulty keyboard as the problem.

Thank you,

Chris
