Hi,
when trying to compile perl5 on:
FreeBSD fw2.reifenberger.com 7.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 7.0-CURRENT #3: Sun Aug 12
22:14:43 CEST 2007 root@totum:/usr/obj/arm/usr/src/sys/AVILA.ad arm

I get (during conigure):
...
fflush(NULL) seems to behave okay with input streams.
Checking the size of gid_t...
Checking the sign of gid_t...
Checking how to print 64-bit integers...
Cannot figure out how to print 64-bit integers.
Checking the format strings to be used for Perl's internal types...
./Configure: Fatal: failed to find format strings, cannot continue.
===>  Script "Configure" failed unexpectedly.
Please report the problem to tobez@FreeBSD.org [maintainer] and attach the
"/usr/ports/lang/perl5.8/work/perl-5.8.8/config.log" including the output of
the failure of your make command. Also, it might be a good idea to provide
an overview of all packages installed on your system (e.g. an `ls
/var/db/pkg`).
*** Error code 1

BTW: there is no config.log

Any clues?

Bye/2
