Hey.. the check-os target in the makefile fails without any comment on 4.7 boxes.
can we get some message in addition to the '*** Error code 1' saying that this
version of BSD cannot run this version of jdk.

obviously the pthread support is lacking on the 4.7 security branch.
Just for info it fails with this when the @ is removed:
gcc -pthread -o /usr/ports/java/jdk14/work/testos /usr/ports/java/jdk14/files/testos.c
/tmp/ccM2h2Qi.o: In function `doit':
/tmp/ccM2h2Qi.o(.text+0x54): undefined reference to `pthread_attr_get_np'
