Maybe the general guideline should be to DISABLE everything that is not
strictly required for installation...:-). Under SCO this philosophy led
to a nasty procedure if you want(ed ?) to install from a tape drive, but
not getting to those extremes, we should disable all mice to avoid
possible conflicts during installation.
