Subject:   Serial Console Port Settings ?

In order to trouble shoot booting a newer pc, I have tried to configure =
a serial console...Unfortunately, I dont=20
know what port settings ( baud rate, # bits, parity etc ) to use on the =
receiving machine...Ive tried lots of combinations
at get gibberish at low settings....lots of "@" signs at 9600 and =
nothing at speeds above 9600. Is there an "auto-baud"
routine ?
