Interesting enough, it must have sneaked into the UoGuelph NFS, too.
Remember, we're using a totally different code base...

Hmm, i've just checked: i cannot reproduce the bug any more.  Either,
it doesn't appear all the time, or it has been fixed as side-effect of
something else (perhaps the NFSv3 changes).
