Hmm, AFAIK 40 bit keys are the longest that are allowed to be exported..
I had a quick look on the web, but I couldn't actually find a direct statement 
on this :)
(www.rsa.com is down which has a FAQ about this stuff)
The quote I got was 'The report argues that computer products with 40-bit
encryption keys "offer virtually no protection at this point" from brute force
attacks.'
... which impiles 40 bits is all you get out the US :)
