Doug,

Actually you don't need to.  Thanks to Dan Busarow who helped me figure
out the problem.  Here's the solution:

- From the ports install of Apache-1.2.5, uncomment the above lines in
/usr/local/etc/apache/srm.conf.  

Add "Includes ExecCGI" to the options for the DocementRoot directory
(should be /usr/local/www/data/) in /usr/local/etc/apache/access.conf. 

As root: kill -HUP `cat /var/run/httpd`
