Hello,
I'm currently using a Daimond FireGL 100Pro AGP card and can't get
the splash screen to work :P
it always complains with the following:
splash_bmp: No appropriate video mode found
On an other system with a PCI vga card I detected something weird:
the lack of modelines with vidcontrol -i mode

turning on/off the VESA option in kernel has no effect.
It can mean two things:
a. the FireGL does not have a VESA compliant bios (or none at all)
and that is strange as a friend of mine got his PCI (???) FireGL
card working with the splash boot screen.
b. it is an AGP/splash `compatibility' problem.
Clues anyone ?

p.s.
the other weird thing is that I was even unable to change the console
to e.g. 80x60 with vidcontrol :P
