What is the accepted method for starting/shutting down userland ppp at
system startup?

This is on a 3.2-stable box.

rc.local seems to have vanished.

A script in /usr/local/etc/rc.d?

My ppp invocation:

/usr/sbin/ppp -auto -alias demand
