hi there, after successfully compiling a new kernel (with isdn-support) 2 times, my next retry (add IPFIREWALL-support) failed. compiling was done without any errors. but after installing the new kernel and rebooting i've got the following error at the boot prompt: >>FreeBSD/i386 BOOT Default: 0:ad(0,a)/kernel boot: Disk error 0x1 (lba=0xec3f2) invalid format the last new kernels went all ok i've tried with/without "schg /kernel" - no change also strange: my old working (ISDN-)kernel seems now to be also no more bootable i'm very new to bsd, so please excuse, if the solution is simple ;-) thanks Jens To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
