I will admit to being stumped by this one.  :-)  Very curious to know what,
if anything, you're able to find out about it.  Keep us posted.

By the way, you may want to subscribe to the linux-awe list and ask there.
If it's not a hardware or FreeBSD-specific problem, then it may actually be
a bug in the driver, and who better to discuss it with than the developers?
