I had the same problem.  This appears to be a symptom of having an slib 
 > 3a1_2.  After a portdowngrade to 3a1_2... This problem is gone.

You will also want to 'hold' the slib-* port/package with pkgtools.conf 
to prevent future portupgrades, till the problem is resolved.

For more info (not much) you can google on guile and slib-3a1 or slib-3a2.
