Actually original message is misleading: the fact that port does invoke
x86 assembler often means "locking primitives are not implemented for
$arch" or that the port uses non-portable time keeping instead of doing
it in a CPU-agnostic way (and thus might be quite easy to patch).

In all these cases Mark should've probably found what the real issue is
and provided better BROKEN messages. :-)
