I know it all sounds nice to enable SSL by default but an SSL'd nrpe2 has no way of accepting non-SSL'd connections, i.e., no backwards compatibility. So, a users large installation *may* start to fall apart if the head end isn't SSL capable, and even if it did, would need command duplication to add the -n option for those hosts. Personally, I think changing the default would break POLA, so I can't approve the patch. Jarrod.
