The following reply was made to PR kern/42498; it has been noted by GNATS. From: "Michael A. Meiszl" <Michael@Meiszl.De> To: <freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org> Cc: Subject: Re: kern/42498: tcp connections not shown with netstat, tcp channels cease working after some days Date: Sat, 7 Sep 2002 10:22:21 +0200 in the mean time i've found the culprit: make installworld does not update certain binaries anymore. my "netstat" was from Aug 24th, and so are many others :-( running "make install" from the /usr/src directory works ok, but "make installworld" leaves out some programs. So, my system is not in a valid state, cancel the bug-report. (but I should create a new one titled "why does make installworld work anymore" ?)
