Well, it's a trivial question, but since it's a newbie mailing group i hope you
won't mind. The thing is that whenever i start kde session and try to create a
link on a desktop, the link is created with 444 permission which won't allow me
to make any changes to it. I have go to console and chmod it. After which i can
go back and make changes to the link ( select an icon and an application which
it should link to). It's a pain, the point is that the umask is 022 so i'm kind
of lost. What am I doing wrong?
