They port to new platforms for a fee of $250K and did the BSD/OS port because BSDI did, in fact, pay them $250K 2. While I was gagging at this and stating unequivocably that even if we had $250K to spend, it would NOT be spent on paying an ISV for a port, he quickly pointed out that in this particular case there were some "big customers" who used both BSD/OS and FreeBSD and were making quacking noises about a FreeBSD version, so there might be room for more creative financing in this case. So maybe it really is a good time to start calling them up and asking for the FreeBSD version. www.parasoft.com is unreachable for me right now so I can't really say any more than this. Jordan
