Yes. FreeBSD 3.0 and up has the ppbus and vpo drivers which allow you to
use a Zip.

I think you should upgrade once you are comfortable with the operating
system.

You should use fdisk or Partition Magic (or a similar program) and find
out exactly how your disk is set up, and then figure out exactly what data
has been assigned which drive letter and which you can use.

Yes, the emulator is included with the system and the libraries it needs
to run Linux applications are on the 3rd CD.
