It will be done before -current is -stable.

I guess it depends upon the experience of the person doing that.  For
me, yes, it is.

The plan is to achieve the following goals by this import:

1. Faster build time (in comparison with 5.6.0).
2. Working standalone build - miniperl issues.
3. Support for NOSHARED=yes.
4. Working cross-platform build.
5. Move as many as possible modules to ports (debatable).
6. site directory before core in @INC (highly debatable).
