There have been problems with UDMA and the VIA Chipsets.
Are you running an Athlon board?  I'm not sure how many
issues involving the UDMA and VIA chipset were cleared up
between 4.1 and 4.1.1, but there was a lot of cleanup
between 4.0 and 4.1 :).

I'm in the middle up updating to 4.1.1 now...I havent had
any problems, with exception of the UDMA write errors every
now and then.  Hopefully this will clear them up some more :)
