I doubt.  There's too much hackery in the driver that abuses the mode
bits.  This has apparently been done to support e.g. 1.2 MB on 1.44
drives, etc.  I'm _not_ going to make substantial changes to the
floppy code before 2.1 ships, since i will avoid to break it in any
way.

2.2 will be even-numbered, hence can get more experimental code. :)

Unless somebody is going to spend me a drive and controller, i'm not
going to do very much here.  It should be detected as a 1.44 MB drive
now, so people could at least use it like any other floppy drive.
