So, You are correct. This is traditional behavior. However, it was desided that this tradition was bad and support for it was dropped. My CVS tree isn't new enough to have this delta in it, but I think that if you look at inet_addr.c you'll see when/where this change was made. My systems predate this change, so 10.1 still works for me :-). Warner
