The problem that I have with CS42xx low end cards is that they
are cheap and noisy but hey I am pretty sure that the low
quality does not bother some ( I am not been sarcastic).

S3 has come out with a new codec chipset, VIBES, which promises to
be an okay sound card and most implementations based on VIBES are
PCI sound cards. I started writing a driver a little while ago
and just need to wrap it up . NO promises as to how the driver/VIBES
is going to perform till I am finished coding up the driver and
have tested it. I am probably about 3 man days from wrapping up the driver
just got to find the time to do it.
