The commdands in the config file are only executed once, when you
first bring up ppp.  If you need to change the route each time
you connect, you'll need to configure ppp.linkup *also*.  The
commands in ppp.linkup are executed *each time you connect*.

I've directed replies to the questions list, as this discussion no
longer has anything to do with STABLE.
