Speaking as one who often finds himself in the unenviable position of trying
to reconcile multiple CVS branches, the later you branch, the easier your
job is.  Best is to never branch at all, and I strive to maintain that state.

Maintaining multiple CVS branches is a real pain, and I can certainly
understand why Jordan is delaying as long as possible.
