This is a fresh install - I originally had installed over an existing 2.X
system but was unhappy with the results so I backed up the important stuff
(home dirs, mail, etc..) and started from scratch.A

Heh.  I'm reminded of the time I told myself that I would only follow
stable branches.  *sigh*
