The manpage coverage is a bit weak on refuse files until you've
got it working once. I used John Polstra's FAQ and I submitted a
patch for the manpage to elaborate the refuse file section. John
accepted it and will include it in the next release of cvsup.

I've rm'd the start of this thread, but if you are trying to avoid
d/l'ing the non-English langauge docs then here is my refuse file
for doing this (and excluding the non-English ports). It's
/usr/sup/refuse:


doc/es* doc/ja* doc/ru* doc/zh*
ports/chinese ports/german ports/japanese ports/korean ports/russian
ports/vietnamese
