Please close this item. It seems our writer was in a funky state where it would not recognize any CD-Rs (also under Windows) though audio and data CDs worked fine. Power cycling fixed the problem. PS: burncd allows me to say -s16 even though our writer does only 8x - is that being checked or silently ignored?
