OK, I think I see the problem now. Multicast group memberships are reported via the routing socket when they change, but there is no sysctl(3) interface to get the information statically. This shouldn't be too hard to accomplish -- although I'm not at all sure why I didn't do it in the first place. -GAWollman -- Garrett A.
