So am I...
Actually I am running FreeBSD on a Dell 420 (256 Mb RAM and 32 GB HD), a 
Dell 220 (128 Mb Ram and 18 GB HD) which is the machine behind 
http://www.digitaldaemon.com/ and a Dell Inspiron Notebook 256 Mb RAM, 
20 GB HD...

Dell does a pretty good job as far as I can tell.
