I have VMWare3 for Linux. I just switched to FreeBSD here (after 8+ years on Linux) in October. For a number of reasons related to journaling filesystems and the lack of support thereof in the Linus kernel, etc, I decided to go to a different code base altogether, one that I knew had good foundations, a relatively organized way of dealing with patches and features and upgrades, and wasn't fragmented all over the map. Hence, FreeBSD. Now I want to use VMware again, but I need a bit of a jump start from you guys on what I should read, etc, so that I can understand (1) how the Linuxulator works, (2) what's the deal with 6.x vs 7.x, (3) how the VMWare LKM code works in FreeBSD, and (4) how do I help to fix this bugger? -- Alan Eldridge #include <cstdlib> free(sklyarov); To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-emulation" in the body of the message
