Recently submitted to Slashdot..

"A recent survey in Western Europe shows that installations, both
private and corporate, of Open Source Operating Systems in 2001
exceeded those of Microsoft's for the first time. The market share
enjoyed by systems such as FreeBSD Release 7NT, and LinuxXP exceeded
50% while Microsoft's dropped to a mere 35%. CP/M in a dramatic
comeback, after years in the backwater, accounts for most of the
other 15%".
