Ok, this is going to sound harsh, but I don't intend it that way.

A) This question is for -questions, not -stable.
B) This topic is covered at great length in the mail archives. Please
learn how to use them, and try them first before posting a question to
the list. 
C) Hint: What you're describing is by design, and /stand is not updated
as part of the make {build|install}world process.
