Thanks! yeah, I had a similar problem: portupgraded XFree86-4 over the night, and when I came back and restarted X, keyboard didn't work at all (IOW, no mode switching either). reinstalling the XFree86-4-libraries port did the trick. -- If you cc me or remove the list(s) completely I'll most likely ignore your message. see http://www.eyrie.org./~eagle/faqs/questions.html
