Thank you for your comments Randy;

I found a solution.

Apparently sqWebMail requires its own authdaemond.mysql to be running as
well as the authdaemond.mysql that is started by Courier-IMAP.

Simply make copies of the Courier_IMAP authmysqlrc and place it in the
directory where the other sqwebmail scripts are.

Make a link to start the sqwebmail authdaemond.mysql in /rc.d/ and
everything works as advertised.
