That would be great. I am not looking to buy an opteron machine this very
second, but definitely considering it for my next machine.

Who is/are working on the port?
Do the developer(s) has a dual CPU machine?

Isn't there a mail to news gateway? Tried searching google groups and
didn't see the articles there either. If we can't get the archive at
freebsd.org to work, we could just at least get it to google somewhow.
