I haven't used that notebook, but I have an Evo N610c that the touchpad
works fine on. This one is a ps/2, but it's also possible that yours is
usb. Are you currently using the GENERIC kernel, or one that you have
customized yourself? If the latter, I'd suggest booting with a GENERIC
kernel and then saving the dmesg so that you can see if the touchpad is
being probed as something unusual.
