What type of memory are you using?  Can you send me (off the
mailing list) a verbose boot message?  I flashed the BIOS
from v2.02 to v2.03 with no improvements.

I can't boot with the full 16 GB.  I need to set
hw.physmem="8G" to boot.   The 16 GB is on the 
motherboard and is detected during POST.  FreeBSD
simply panics if I try setting hw.physmem to anything
above 8 GB.  My memory is Cosair PC2700 recommended 
by Tyan for this motherboard.

As far as my jobs, I run numerical simulations of heat
transfer in biological tissues and nonlinear acoustics.
The numerical techniques are standard and hybrid finite
difference solutions to coupled PDEs.  I can easily 
consume the 16 GB if not more memory as I add more
realistic physics to the problem.
