I successfully booted the AMD64 6.3-RELEASE kernel on our big blade. I still have to deal with installation issues regarding loading the disk, but this time it went all the way through. Still don't know why 7.0 didn't complete probing, but at least I can look forward to establishing an amd64-compiled system and exploring further from there. -- :D
